Project Management

Before any form of production was started, the team leader created a simple production timetable which summarizes the tasks which need to take place, this was then used to produce a personal timetable using Microsoft Excel. This enabled the setting of milestones which need to be achieved before various dates, for example, the concept work was due to be completed from day one of pre-production to day twenty-one, similarly with puzzle design being created between day two and day twenty-one.

This was then edited and enhanced upon throughout the project. The below is the planner taken from the stage one period of production, during this time production began early on the modelling as illustrated by the yellow highlight – this was done as it enabled longer time spent on the UV mapping – an area of difficulty and complexity and a set personal target which needed to be completed, the below image was taken from the first stages of production.

As the project progressed, areas such as pre-production were completed and therefore highlighted in the darker purple. During this time, the main building was completed however did encounter some issues in regards to UV mapping the main roof, but due to the extra time provided by starting production early – it was fine. Illustrated below is taken from the second stage of production.
